MORE THAN CAPABLE

Hello folks, I am writing this article in the spur of the moment. I don’t know if I have written this before but everyone is capable of both abominable acts and heroic acts as well. I have heard this quote that what a man can do; a woman can do better but let me ask you something (as a joke) can a woman pee in a bottle? Well I don’t know but according to sources (wink) it is impossible. Please note that I am not a narcissist when it comes to female empowerment but I am saying that there are things in life that can be done by both sexes that are thought to be impossible.

WHAT MAKES A FATHER

Hello once again, sorry about being late for this Father’s day piece but I want to write something about this special day. I want to dedicate this piece to my father. So many people are not fortunate to have a father due to circumstances beyond their control; for that I offer my condolences. Last year, I wrote a piece concerning Father’s Day titled, Evolution from Boyhood to Manhood . Check it out.

WILD WORLD

Hello folks, I want to once again thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on every subject matter I write upon. Please leave your comments at the comment box and e-mail me on the address below if you want to get personal with me. Today, I want to talk about something that is so obvious that we see it every day. All classes of society (the rich, middle class and poor), are aware of this fact that it is a Wild World; Make no mistakes, the fact that you are born of a woman you will experience tribulations all you have to do is face it head on. The Bible states that “In this world you will face tribulations but don’t worry I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

UNCONDITIONAL

Hello folks, welcome to another time with yours truly. I want to write how grateful I am that you found the time of day to read my works. I am so grateful. Please take the time to check out the previous articles and let me know what you think at the comment section below. The topic I want to write on today looks like the title of an 80’s Rhythm and Blues song but today, I want to talk about something that is starting to become a foreign concept in our society today. That is, “unconditional attachments”. If you go through the previous links in this blog, you will find that I have written similar topics to this but I just want to reiterate on this subject matter. As usual, I like to be balanced in all my write ups but I want to talk about how the balance of unconditional attachments has affected our society negatively.

It’s my life (Is it?)

Hello folks, first of all I just want to say how sorry I am for not posting any content for a while. I’m back and I want to share something that has been bothering me and my personal answers that I sought to what was bothering me. The issue I want to write about is, WHO OWNS YOUR LIFE? I know what you are thinking; “the topic doesn’t match the subject” but please bear with me and read this little piece. This topic is a continuation of an article I wrote called FREEDOM . Please click on the link and let me know what you think. Please remember your input on the matter will be appreciated.

STATING THE OBVIOUS

Hello again and welcome to the iExcel360 blog. I am so happy to have you reading this little piece of mine because it shows that you have taken interest in my work. Please take your time to review other articles I have written and let me know what you think. Today, while I was doing my regular Wikipedia reading, I stumbled into an article about a movie called “Zulu”. Before I get to the crux of the matter, I would like to give you a summary about this movie. This movie was made in 1964 and tells a (sort of) fictional story about the defeat of the British army at the hands of Zulu warriors in one part of South Africa. The Zulus armed themselves with the ammunition of the dead British Soldiers and proceeded to advance and wipe out the entire British Army. The British know from the very beginning that the battle will be a losing one but they still got the courage to fight and rescue civilians that were in the line of fire. During the movie, one of the soldiers “Stated the Obvious...

THE “CANDY CRUSH” MENTALITY

Hello again people, I hope you have enjoyed reading my articles online. Please remember to comment on the box below and log on to my facebook page www.facebook.com/iexcel360 for more inspirational quotes and words from yours truly. Today I want to talk about the CANDY CRUSH mentality. For those of you who are conversant with this game, you might think of words like sweet, sugar crush etc. But now I want to talk about the addictive tendencies of this particular game and how we can use the same addictive tendencies in a positive light. I want to start by saying that I am a huge fan of the game. I play it every day. I love the challenge of the levels and the fact that I will not quit until I have finished a level and move on to the next one. But I have realized one thing, the game is so addictive to the point where people just play and not realize the sole purpose of the game itself. A female friend once told me, “always read between the lines”. The game itself preys on our NEVER...

THE FIGHT CLUB

Hello once again, beautiful people. Today I want to talk about the “The Fight Club”. I am writing this piece in reference to the famous Brad Pitt movie with the same title. Before I begin, I will like to start with a brief synopsis of the movie “The fight Club”. This movie is about a character Brad Pitt who is a charismatic activist who owns a fight club and encourages its members to transfer their anger towards society to themselves through violence. He talks about the unfairness of society and how the government limits our freedom to speak, what we hear and the kind of clothes they should wear. The members of this club are regular folks who are fed up with life and they get-off of each other by beating each other senseless. The main character himself is a lazy bum who has a wrecked apartment but is charismatic enough to amass quite a following.

Words of Wisdom for the New Month

Hello folks, welcome to the end of the first month of the year and the beginning of the second month of the year 2016. At this point we can say that this year is not new anymore and we can finally get off the couch and do some work and exercise our brains. The brain is said to be the hard drive of the human body which stores information/releases information to the entire body. There is a popular saying “You cannot give what you don’t have”. If your brain is filled with nothing, you won’t be able to give anything to your society.

THE “SINK OR SWIM” SITUATION OF AN ARTIST

Hello people, welcome once again to my blog, today I want to talk about the “sink or swim” situation an artist faces when he/she performs on stage. This time, I am writing from my own personal experience as a music director in my local church here in Nigeria. I have two main reasons for writing this piece. The first is to help others to overcome the bane of every artist called “stage fright”. The second reason is more of a selfish one. I am writing it to remind myself why I do what I do and encourage myself to do it. Alright, imagine you are in a vast ocean, and your boat has a slight crack at the bottom. In that situation, you can only sink and drown or hang on to the nearest driftwood you can find and swim till you find land. This is what happens every time an artist gets on stage to perform. Those who have made the decision to swim are those who are confident in their skills (driftwood) and swim across the ocean of onlookers who are looking up to you for something. On the other ...

MY FIRST INTERVIEW

TALENT AND HARDWORK

Webster’s dictionary defines talent as “a special often athletic, creative, or artistic aptitude”. Today there are several talented people in the entertainment game. And only few have taken the variable of hard work out of the equation of success. Greats like James Brown, Lionel Richie, Toni Braxton, and others had some basic training. But there are others who totally rely on their God given talent have been known to fail later on in their careers. My perfect example would be Usher Raymond AKA USHER. He is a talented singer and worked hard on himself and improved and matured from My Way to Climax. He started from singing normal tunes to adding falsetto effects in his voice which stepped up his game and gave him hits like DIVE, LEMME SEE, etc. He received positive criticism for his growth.
