VALUES VERSUS REALITY

Hello folks and welcome to another time with yours truly. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart that you have taken the time from your busy schedule to read my articles. Today, I want to write about societal values and the reality of our society. We live in a world where we are told as children not to do certain things and when we grow up some of us eventually do those things we were told not to do, end up regretting it and tell our children not to make the same mistakes they made. It all feels like a giant cosmic loop.

THE POWER OF A GOOD WOMAN

Hello folks and welcome to my blog. I am so happy that you have taken the time out of your busy schedule to read my thoughts on various subject matters. Before I start I want to say (although it is kind of late at this stage), HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. For all the women who support their men, children and home, you have my utmost respect and admiration. I am the product of a good woman, so I will fall for good women like you. Based on the salutation I just made, you should have noticed the where I am going with this topic.

THE ILLUSION OF BEAUTY

Hello once again and thanks for clicking on the iExcel blogspot link. It has been almost two years since I started this blog and I am thankful to all of you out there that take your precious time out of your busy schedules to read what I have to say about certain subject matters that are trending in our society. The trend I want to discuss today is what society views as “Beauty”. I used to think that beauty was a word used on the female folk but I have realized that there are men that can be referred to as beautiful. Before we start, I would like to ask the question. What is beauty? Is it the shape of the face? Is it the size of the eyes? Is it the colour of the eyes? Is it in the shape of the lips? Is it in the body type? Well to find out my opinion please stay glued to this article (LOL).

THE ILLUSION OF LIFE

Hello beautiful people and welcome to my blog which contains the innermost thoughts of my head. Today I want to get a little realistic on you. I want to write about the illusion of life. Every day, you wake up in the morning pray to God (Christians), brush your teeth, take your bath and go about your day and it seems like an endless circle of doing the same thing day in day out. Today I was chatting with my mother and she told me something about life that I want to share with you. Life itself is an illusion. You will see someone who will struggle all his life, just to get a piece of paper. This piece of paper could include a degree, money, savings bonds etc and at the end of the day he/she ends up six feet under the ground. Please bear in mind I try to be balanced in all my write-ups; money and degrees are not bad in fact I have a degree in Mass Communication. That is why I am able to write. But we are so focused in the illusion that life offers; you should be the you, you were me...

LOVE: GAME OR NOT

Hello once again, this is your weird friend Ogah and I am here to write about what goes on in this crazy head of mine. Here is my take on the above subject matter love. But before I go on I would briefly like to talk about what other people have told me about this elusive four letter word. They say love ‘Died with the Titanic”. Because of our nature as humans, these set of people have become paranoid about other humans and the concept of love is more like a fairy tale. They believe that love is a game to be played between the “experienced” and the “naive”. These “experienced” people know the exact words to say to the opposite sex to get through their defences. They are “like wolves in sheep cloths” they can say anything from little complements to overblown gestures just to win the heart of the other person. The experienced ones see this as a game. And you will ask me, what is their end game? The answer differs from “cash” to “kind”. Some of these experienced lovers are in for...

FREEDOM

According to the online philosophy club, Freedom starts with a principle of self-control, also known as self-ownership. In a free society, each and every person has legal control (or "ownership") of their own body and mind. But Freedom to me is a state of mind an individual can do whatever he or she likes with some restrictions. Without self control you are not really free. One must remember that in life what goes around comes around and everyone is responsible for his or her actions.
